2015/16: Choir takes centre stage
In 2014 and 15, Samyo invited Pt Madhup Mudgal and Sawani Mudgal to help develop the first Samyo-Tarang Choir, which performed its debut piece ‘Charishnu’ in the 2015 showcase (pictured above).
Over the course of summer 2015 to spring 2016, Samyo developed a number of compositions with Sawani Mudgal and Pt Ranajit Sengupta that featured choir and instruments together. The showcase concert on Saturday 12th March 2016 is set to chart a new direction for Indian choral music, while establishing Samyo as one of the world’s innovators in the creation of new music production.
