Approach & Ethos
Music India is designed to be a Summer School like no other, with musical training which students cannot find anywhere else.
With 27 years of experience in supporting young artists, we have tried to design a programme that really benefits students. Though we can’t replicate the traditional learning patterns of South Asia, Milapfest provides an intensive experience that students can carry away with them, and put to great use in their artistic and personal lives.
The courses carefully complement your own learning and skill level. Music India does not interfere with your original technique, but gives opportunities for you to learn about practice styles, the development of compositions, performance skills and a whole host of tips from world-class professionals that simply cannot be quantified. The course is designed to be immersive, interactive, and responsive to your needs so you will have the chance to practice what you learn.
Venue
Music India takes place at the Creative Campus of Liverpool Hope University. For more information on The Creative Campus please visit: www.hope.ac.uk
The Music India team will be present at all times at both the venue and the accommodation to help participants and answer any queries.
Participant accommodation will be provided on campus in the student halls. Each bedroom will consist of single rooms with on-suite facilities, and a shared kitchen diner with lounge. The campus benefits from 24 hour security and free wi-fi access. Amenities are located just a five minute walk from campus.
