As the world around us is changing dramatically each day, we wanted to let you know what our plans are at Milap. We’ve unfortunately had to take the decision to either cancel or postpone all of our events which were due to take place in April. The health and wellbeing of our audiences, artists, participants and team members is our top priority, and we want to make sure we are doing everything we can to minimise the spread of the virus. This also follows the action taken by our venue partners, The Capstone Theatre and Southbank Centre, who have closed their venues with immediate effect.
This update affects the following events:
April 21st 2020 – Shakir Khan & Hiren Chate, Southbank Centre, London
April 22nd 2020 – Bombay Jayashri, Southbank Centre, London
April 25th 2020 – Music for the Mind & Soul Festival Day, Liverpool Hope Uni, Liverpool
Audiences who have purchased tickets for any of the above events will be contacted separately regarding their booking.
Our Saturday Arts School classes will also move to online lessons until at least the end of May 2020. Students of the Arts School will be contacted separately regarding their classes.
We will also be announcing the postponement of the start of the Milap Ensembles training programme for members of Samyo, Sabrang and Tarang.
These are challenging times for all of us, and it’s during times like these that we are grateful for our Milap community and the support you have always given to us! We will get through this together and will be back soon with lots of wonderful arts and culture for everyone to enjoy!
In the meantime, please stay safe and well!
