Milap present their fourth Music for the Mind & Soul concert of 2021 with internationally renowned sitarist Mita Nag, accompanied by the Tabla maestro Rimpa Siva, performing ‘Raag Bhimpalasi’ – ‘traditionally performed during the late afternoon hours, upto sunset’.

This is a Live Studio recording from ‘On Air Theater’ in Kolkata. Mita Nag, daughter of veteran sitarist Pandit Manilal Nag, is the sixth generation sitar player in her family, and belongs to the Vishnupur Gharana of Bengal – a school of music nearly 300 years old. She is one of the most renowned sitarits in Indian Classical music. Child prodigy Rimpa Siva is known as ‘The Princess of Tabla’, and is a widely acclaimed and travelled international artist. Milap are proud to present these two incredible female musicians for a brand new concert.
