As we approach the 5th anniversary of Dance India in Singapore, we look forward to bringing together a team of tutors who bring a uniquely diverse range of experiences to the participants at the school. Professor C V Chandrashekar,  faculty member at the very first Dance India Europe in Manchester in 2004, returns to lead the Teacher’s Training Course, while Odissi expert Ratikant Mohapatra is at Dance India for the very first time. The core dance faculty is complemented by new perspectives like Dr Chithra Madhavan, an expert in temple architecture. Overall, the holistic programme brings together dance training with artistic scholarship, and we are looking forward to giving our students a really broad education in dance.

The participants of Dance India Asia Pacific, like the European edition, are from a range of countries and backgrounds. Naturally, we have registered a majority of Singapore-based teachers, performers and students on the course, but we are delighted to welcome participants from Hong Kong, Malaysia, Sri Lanka, Australia and Ireland too!
