Dance India Masterclass 2020

Dance India returns this year with an exclusive masterclass aimed at advanced and professional Bharatanatyam dancers (for those who believe learning never stops!). Over the course of an intensive weekend, dancers will have the opportunity to revisit, rethink and redefine how your body responds to dance after years of looking at it and feeling through it in a particular way.

– Revisit the fundamentals with a deep dive into adavu patterns and postural alignment and explore the relationship between them while broadening the canvas of your potential. This will be done through the unpacking of two pieces taken from the Bharatanatyam repertoire.

– Approach these pieces from the perspective of its choreography, mathematical applications and the correlation between the choreographer and the piece.

Fee
The fee for the masterclass is £200.

Registration
The first round of registrations are now open and will end on May 28th 2020. There are limited places within each group. If there are any places left by May 28th, we will open up a second round of registrations.

Important Notes:
– Only registrations made with full payment received within a week of registration will be confirmed a place on the masterclass.
– The fee is for the training only. Refreshments (tea /coffee/biscuits) will be provided throughout the day. Meals, accommodation and travel are the responsibility of the participant.
