Our Ensembles
We currently have 4 ensembles – SAMYO (the National Youth Orchestra for Indian Music), SAMYO TOO (the Ensemble for Young Maestros), Sabrang (the National Choir for Indian Music) and Tarang (the Ensemble for Young Professionals).
Thank you to everyone who has kindly supported our young musicians over the years and who will continue to do so for many more to come!
Samyo is a National Porftolio Organisation, funded by Arts Council England
Celebrating its 10 year anniversary in 2012, Samyo became one of only eight organisations to be awarded National Youth Music Organisation status by Arts Council England.
Jane Beardsworth, North West Regional Director, Arts Council England, said: “We have confirmed a continuing commitment to Samyo as one of the eight National youth music organisations. Samyo has an important role to play in developing talent and in increasing the opportunities for children and young people to take part in the arts. We look forward to working with Samyo, and their founding organisation Milapfest, in support of our mission to achieve great art for everyone.”
